Do you love tapas? Then you won't want to miss this year's edition of Ruta de la Tapa in Nerja 2026! Between May 2nd and May 13th, 2026, Nerja transforms into a wonderfully vibrant culinary journey where every tapa offers something unique. This year promises an exceptionally high standard, with participating tapas dishes said to “make your taste buds fly” thanks to their quality and innovation. It's a perfect opportunity to discover new favorite spots, enjoy delicious food, and experience the fantastic atmosphere that characterizes Nerja during this popular and fun food festival.

The 12th edition of Ruta de la Tapa gathers 16 restaurants around Nerja. During these days, you can go on a “tapas tour,” try various creative tapas (often with a drink at a fixed price), and vote for your favorites using a tapaporte.

You can view the presentation of the official poster, featuring all participating restaurants and bars, at the Nerja tourist office. The event has become a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors, where the town's gastronomic creativity takes center stage.

How does Ruta de la Tapa 2026 work?

The concept is simple and fun!

  • Each participating restaurant offers a specially composed tapa along with a drink (usually beer, wine, or soft drink) at a favorable price.

  • You can pick up a stamp card (often called a "pasaporte") where you collect stamps from the different places you visit at the Nerja tourist office (opposite the town hall Ayuntamiento, between Balcón de Europa and Plaza España), or at the restaurant you visit.

  • Visit as many competing restaurants as you like, taste their tapas, and collect stamps. Once you've collected a certain number, you can participate in raffles and win great prizes!

Ruta de la Tapa 2026 step by step

  1. Pick up a "Tapaporte"/flyer (directly at the restaurant or at the tourist office)

  2. Visit one of the participating restaurants and order -"tapa de la ruta de la tapa"

  3. You receive a stamp when you pay

  4. You fill in the rating you think that specific tapa deserves in your "Tapaporte"

  5. Fill in your name on the back

  6. Visit at least 9 tapas restaurants and get stamps

  7. Submit it here before the final date (stated in the information on your flyer)

  8. The winner will be drawn live on Radio Nerja 103.3 FM and also shown on the Facebook group

The prize for 2026 is dinner for four people plus your weight in beer!

To enter the competition, you must have at least 9 stamps in your tapas passport. Winners will enjoy a dinner for four people at the route's winning establishment, in addition to receiving a number of liters of beer matching their body weight.

Furthermore, the five most active people on Instagram during the event will receive an exclusive Cervezas Victoria package.
