Train to Malaga city and then bus to Nerja - cheap

A similar option is to take the commuter train (they run frequently) to Malaga city and then switch to a bus to Nerja. The train station is right outside the exit at Malaga Airport, and you can pay with credit/debit card directly at the turnstile. When you arrive in Malaga - get off at "Estación Maria Zambrano" and the bus station is right next door, from where you can take a bus to Nerja. Taxi and shared taxi - a bit more expensive

For those who prefer a more personalized journey, taxi services and shared taxis are available. For those who want to go sightseeing, you can take a small tourist train from Plaza Cangrejos, which goes up to the Caves of Nerja, every hour on the hour between 10 AM and 3 PM during high season.
